And so a new blog begins....One for jotting down Ben's memorable milestones and photos for friends and family afar to see.
Ben is just over a week old now. It has been a fun, exhausting, frustrating, loving, stressful, enjoyable, and awesome week as we all adjust to our new family. The midwives have come by nearly every day and cousin-once-removed Wendy has also made frequent visits to help get through the breastfeeding learning curve. Grandma Jane is here making a great contribution to house-, Mom-, and Ben-keeping.
Ben is doing well with breastfeeding (finally!) enough to have gained back about half of what he lost since birth. His patterns are becoming more apparent - sleeps well through the morning, is alert through part of the afternoon, screams and cluster feeds through the evening, and sometimes lets Mom get 3 consecutive hours of sleep at night.
